ULTIMATE Overlander Tailgate Kitchen! - Dirt Lifestyle
Soon, I’ll be shooting a video on the Tailgate table I made for my JL. Doing it yourself is so awarding. You learn new skills, you exercise creativity, and keep the skills you have very sharp. The reason I made mine was there was not enough options for the JL on the market and some have options that others don’t have that you might want. You end up compromising and while it might fit the vehicle model it might not fit your lifestyle model.
Nate from Dirt Lfestyle is a known fabricator and attacked this problem using the tools and skills he had to fabricate a tailgate table for an overland vehicle that is not the tradition American Jeep and customized it to fit the equipment he may use. I thought about the single burner coleman stove idea but I was more in the market for a backpacking/bugout stove but might add this later since I use an old school Coleman stove so I only have one type of fuel.
Lots of great fabricating tips like one of my favorites which is if I am not sure about how to make something or how the final product might work even if it is just a small part of entire project-Grab some cardboard, a knife and a hole punch of some sort. My most ambitious of builds had cardboard involved at some point.
Dirt Lifestyle is a great channel for fabricating, wheeling, and working on all kinds of off-road vehicles. I love his TJ. If you love diesel engines or engines swaps in general, this is definitely a feed to consume. Excellent video production too.
